Area political and tribal leaders were among those present at the Tigris River Valley Commission meeting July 13. Members of the TRVC hold bi-monthly meetings to discuss issues and concerns to take to the leaders of the provincial government in Mosul, Iraq. The focus of the first meeting after the transfer of sovereignty was improving the security in the Tigris River Valley. The leaders discussed ways to cooperate within the local communities to ensure the security of important facilities such as water lines, electricity towers and oil pipelines. (Photo by Spc.
