U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) subject matter experts pose for a photo with participants in the flood modeling workshop that was held in Yangon Myanmar, Dec. 10-14, 2018. USACE Pacific Ocean Division (POD) conducted the technical exchange with a focus on water. POD, as part of its mission, works to help regional entities with whom they have common interests develop and improve their own capabilities in response to disasters. In the event, USACE collaborated with the Myanmar Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation (MOALI), and other Myanmar government agencies to execute the third Myanmar-U.S. Technical Exchange Workshop in Flood Modeling.
