Rising senior Brandon Clay takes his backpack out of his locker Aug. 6, 2018, at Fort Campbell High School, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Brandon is new to FCHS, after recently transferring from Fort Knox High School. Although he was disappointed he would not attend Fort Knox High School his senior year, Brandon said he is excited for the coming year. The recently completed, $59 million, 184,000-square-foot, two-story facility for ninth through 12th grade students is energy efficient and environmentally sustainable. In May 2015 Walsh Federal began construction of the school that is considered to be a Department of Defense Education Activity model.
