Complete with mock explosions and reality-based missions, Operation Bushmaster puts students from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences to the test. The annual two-week field exercise takes place at Fort Indiantown Gap, an Army National Guard training center north of Harrisburg, PA. It's designed to enhance the student operation experience, immersing them in a simulated combat environment. It's also the final exam for the university's fourth-year medical students. Pictured here, students run through a mass casualty drill, assessing and triaging "patients."
