Spc. Simon Contreras checks to make sure a support beam is level and straight in a covered deck for Navy personnel he helped build. Contreras, along with several other Soldiers, built the covered deck at a port in Kuwait, July 6. Contreras is assigned to the 863rd Engineer Battalion and is deployed here as part of Third Army (Forward), in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
