JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2019) – Capt. Matthew Case, Naval Hospital Jacksonville commander, and Zachary Bassett, an Eagle Scout candidate, cut the ceremonial ribbon opening the Reflection Healing Garden at the hospital on Jan. 15. The Reflection Healing Garden creates a quiet escape for patients seeking peace and solace. Bassett, a 10th grader at Fleming Island High School, says “I wanted to help people with my Eagle project. My hope is the garden will last for years. I really appreciate all the volunteers and mentors that aided me." The garden was built with donations and over 280 volunteer hours.
