Spc. Simon Contreras checks to make sure the wood is level and straight. He helped build a covered deck for Navy personnel. Contreras along with several other Soldiers built the covered deck at a port in Kuwait July 6. Contreras is assigned to the 863rd Engineer Battalion. He and fellow Soldiers of the 863rd Eng. Bn., are deployed here as part of the Third Army (Forward), in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
