Retired Sergeant Maj. Michael A. Walker, Logistics Noncommissioned Officer Academy training specialist, was recently appointed to the Army Chief of Staff Retired Soldier Council. He is among four new members named to the 14-member body headed by ret. Lt. Gen. David D. Halverson and ret. SMA Raymond F. Chandler. The council functions to be the "voice of the retired Soldier to the Army and the voice of the Army to the retired Soldier," providing a critical communications link between leaders and retired community members.
