Sgt. Brandon Eastwood, an Oklahoma City native and forward observer of B Troop, 1st Squadron, 180th Cavalry Regiment, looks on as Spc. John Ray, of Durant, Okla., writes down the information he needs for a nine-line close-air support request, which he will soon give to the pilot of a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet flying overhead. Eastwood and Ray are stationed in Camp Buehring, Kuwait, where their unit is deployed in support of Operation New Dawn.
