Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, Commanding General of Army North, presents Spc. Karolin Paige, 550th Area Support Medical Company, with his challenge coin at a special ceremony on Davis-Monthan Air Base, Ariz. January 30, 2019. Buchanan presented his coin to seven members of the 550th ASMC and 61st Preventative Medicine Detachment for their efforts to provide health care and medical support to the Soldiers of Task Force 51. The Department of Defense has deployed units across the Southwest Border at the request of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is providing logistical, engineering, situational awareness and force protection functions.
