Darrin Nelson shows an Iraqi National Guard soldier how to point his weapon when entering and clearing a room. Nelson?s unit, Company C, 52nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), is conducting a four-week basic training course in Qayarrah for Iraqi soldiers. The soldiers will become a part of two new battalions of the Iraqi National Guard to provide security in the Tigris River Valley region. The 52nd is conducting operations in northern Iraq to assist in building an Iraqi force capable of ensuring safety and security in Iraq. (Photo by Spc. Blair Larson)
