Enlisted members of the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, a National Guard Unit out of Fort Benning, Ga., receive a visit from Command Sgt. Maj. Ronnie D. Curry, the sergeant major of U.S. Forces Assigned to Afghanistan Feb. 1, 2012, for lunch in the dining facility on Camp Phoenix.
Curry had lunch with senior non-commissioned officers where he told them: “You have a critical mission that will become even more critical as we down size. I am more focused on meeting the soldiers”, said Curry. “We directly represent senior leadership in this command."
Curry went to the various sections to meet and visit the lower enlisted soldiers to introduce himself and to see how the soldiers were doing since arriving in Afghanistan.
Staff Sgt. Sarah M. Perry, who works in the Department of Resource Management, meets Curry during his rounds.
