ARABIAN GULF (March 18, 2019) Gunner's Mate 1st Class Calvin Brooks throws a G911 hand grenade aboard the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Chinook (PC 9). The Chinook is forward-deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
