Steelworker 2nd Class Barron Montowski, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 23, embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV-2) Swift, repaints a wall in Escuela Pronoie Nuevo Despertar Mis Primeros Pasitos in Zona De Acapulco. NMCB-23 is working with Peruvian combat engineers from Base Naval De Callao and Brigada Infanteria De Marina De Ancon during HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. The Seabees and engineers will spend three weeks refurbishing schools in the area. Southern Partnership Station is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
