U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Zachary K. Beveridge, of Layton, Utah, works with a Royal Thai Marine engineer on how to best use the metal detecting equipment during the practical application part of Counter IED training. Beveridge is a translator from the 300th Military Intelligence Brigade, who is working alongside Combat Assault Battalion during Exercise Cobra Gold 2012. The exercise is a recurring multinational and multiservice exercise co-hosted by the Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. designed to advance regional security by training as a multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
