190311-N-LF183-1001 BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada (Mar. 11, 2019) – U.S. Navy and British dive tenders assist Utilitiesman 2nd Class Tyson Stapleford, assigned to Underwater Construction Team 1, to the edge of the ice diving hole during the Royal Canadian Navy’s Ice Diving Training Exercise 2019. Over the course of two weeks, clearance divers from Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s Underwater Construction Teams 1 and 2 and Mobile Diving and Salvage Units 1 and 2 joined U.S. Coast Guard, Royal Navy, and Royal Canadian Navy clearance divers to sharpen up their ice diving skills.
