BCT3 Instructors SFC Ortiz in a trauma scenario in a mock aid station during the TCMC Course to further hone their skills.
The TCMC Program envisions, designs, educates, and trains deploying Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses and Senior Medical NCOs in combat casualty care and employment of austere damage control surgical and resuscitation teams. The TCMC resident course is 5 days, conducted at JBSA-FSH. TCMC gives a practical working knowledge of how to treat a wounded casualty in a combat environment from point of injury through Role I-II.
The BCT3 Course envisions, designs, educates, and trains 68W skill level 10-40 assigned to a deploying BCT, BSB, or CAB (Role I-II). Conducted via Mobile Training Teams and resident courses for 2 training sessions per brigade (a 5-day session per week). This course is designed to enhance a practical working knowledge of how to treat a wounded casualty in a combat environment from point of injury through casualty evacuation.
