Col. Kevin Capra, commander of 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, pins an Army Commendation Medal to Staff Sgt. Joseph Clinkenbeard in recognition of his actions following a traffic accident April 7. Staff Sgt. Joseph Clinkenbeard along with Spc. Nicholas Vanosdel, both of 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, and Kim Black, a pediatric nurse and the wife of 3-8 Cav commander, Lt. Col. Kevin Black extracted and provided care to victims of a car rollover outside of Fort Hood.
