PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – (April 9, 2019) Chief Navy Counselor Anthony Rivera of Burbank, Calif., a diversity program manager assigned to Navy Recruiting Command (NRC), teaches a Lean Six Sigma Workshop at the Willie A. Tempton Student Center on the campus of Prairie View A&M University during Navy Visibility Day. Navy Visibility Day is a NRC proprietary recruitment program built specifically for the purpose of attracting the brightest, diverse college prospects, and showcasing opportunities for both military and civilian careers. Its purpose is the build and sustain strategic networks with universities and colleges while promoting Navy awareness within a diverse and under-represented community. Navy Visibility Day offers a Lean Six Sigma Workshop, Career Expo, Panel Discussion, and the Navy’s Virtual Reality Experience, the NIMITZ. NRC consists of a command headquarters, three navy recruiting regions, 18 Navy recruiting districts and eight Navy talent acquisition groups that serve more than 1,300 recruiting stations across the world.
