U.S. Soldiers assigned to 2CR participate in the celebration to commemorate the historical event and maintain international relations with the Czech Republic. The celebration honored the 74th anniversary of an operation that took place at the end of WWII in which Alpha Troop, 42nd Cavalry Squadron rescued several hundred Lipizzaner horses from captivity.
