Civilian role player, Rodney Morris brings Billy the goat to the 546th Medical Company's area of operation to have him decontaminated after a simulated nuclear attack during Guardian Response 19 at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, May 2, 2019. Billy the goat received a brief check up for a simulated injury, and cooperated during the decontamination procedures, providing the Soldiers with realistic, real world training that would save the lives of humans and animals. More than 9,000 Soldiers from across the country are participating in Guardian Response 19, a multi-component training exercise that validates U.S. Army units’ ability to support the Defense Support of Civil Authorities in the event of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear catastrophe.
