The Bridge of No Return was an access point between North Korea and South Korea, and was also used to exchange prisoners of war between both sides. Prisoners were forbidden from returning once they decided to cross into the other side. The bridge was abandoned in 1976 after the Ax Murder Incident and later sealed off.
