Staff Sgt. Michael Tietje, a U.S. Marine assigned to the Marine detachment (MARDET), embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV-2) Swift, leads physical training warm-ups with Haitian national police, before participating in a Marine Corps martial arts session on the United Nations Chilean base in Haiti, as a part of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
