During the training, Marines with CLB-31 fired several thousand rounds to increase and maintain proficiency with medium and heavy machine guns. Stallard, a native of Conneaut, Pennsylvania, graduated from Conneaut Area Senior High in June 2017 before enlisting in June of the same year. Reed, a native of Lumberton, Texas, graduated from Lumberton High school in May 2018 before enlisting in June of the same year. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
