Lance Cpl. Kody L. Stallard, a landing support specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, fires an M240B medium machine gun during machine gun training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 3, 2019 During the training, Marines with CLB-31 fired several thousand rounds to increase and maintain proficiency with medium and heavy machine guns. Stallard, a native of Conneaut, Pennsylvania, graduated from Conneaut Area Senior High in June 2017 before enlisting in June of the same year. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
