In the final hours of Ola de Esperanza Sanadora or Healing Waves of Hope exercise, U.S. Navy Seaman Holli Glenn and Army Cpl. Chantel Ruffin both assigned to the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity use a Lensometer to fabricate prescription eye ware at the Cap. Pedro J. Parras, U.S. Army Reserve Center in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The two U.S. Military members are in the final hours of a two week Innovative Readiness Training exercise. During the event optometrist from the U.S. Air Force; Army; Navy and Marine Corps as well as their reserve components prescribed nearly 4000 glasses that were made at no cost for residents in Puerto Rico. Care sites were set up in Ponce, Jayuya, Maricao, Mayaguez, Yauco and Lares.
