U.S. Army Col. Timothy Hudson, right, commander of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, shares the history of the hospital with U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Michael A. Rocco, deputy commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, during his visit to the LRMC Marine Detachment May 2. Rocco met with Marines assigned to LRMC where they discussed the status of training and readiness, the care provided to wounded Marines coming to LRMC from forward combat theaters and the relationships between the Marines and Army and Air Force providers at the hospital. "It's important that we remember the mission that was here," said Rocco. "The mission ebbs and flows, and this is a low time. But it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when and we just need to be ready to provide that support to all wounded troops coming to this hospital." (U.S. Army photo by Alofagia Oney)
