190527-N-EO381-0001 TUNIS, Tunisia (May 27, 2019) – The U.S. 6th Fleet commander, Vice Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, delivered remarks during a Memorial Day Ceremony at the North Africa American Cemetery May 27, 2019. The cemetery is the final resting ground of 8,291 service members and the Wall of the Missing memorial notates the names of 3,724 service members. Admirals from U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and U.S. 6th Fleet traveled throughout Europe visiting American cemeteries and monuments to honor the lives and legacies of fallen U.S. and allied service members that paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their countries.
