Cpl. Conner T. Lowry, an ammunition technician chief and fire team leader with Golf Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, fires rounds at an enemy 1200 meters away using an M39 rifle here, Jan. 17, 2012. Lowry, a 24-year-old native of Chicago, put 19 rounds through a two foot, square hole in the wall, or ‘murder hole,’ where an enemy fired at the Marines.
