Brian Bender and Gabriel Abbott (left to right), East Valley High School, Yakima, Wash., throw inert grenades during a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps team challenge at the Pacific Lutheran College March 9. JROTC teams traveled from across the state of Washington to attend the annual event. The students competed in an Army Physical Fitness Test as well as several other events. The students were presented with the opportunity to talk with representatives from military branches and colleges within the region.
