Crosses are perfectly aligned along the grounds at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
The cemetery site contains the graves of more than 9,380 graves of U.S. Service members - most of whom lost their lives in the D-Day landings and ensuing operations. This memorial ceremony is one of over eighty events happening during the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.
