FORT BENNING, Ga. – Pfc. Samantha Roden, 905th Military Working Dog Detachment at Fort Knox, Kentucky, leads Tina during helicopter familiarization training. Fifteen military working dog teams from across the U.S. Army and the Connecticut Army National Guard performed training June 17, 2019, at Fort Benning here in preparation of deployment. Military working dog teams are used in garrison and combat support missions, including area security, movement and mobility support operations; law and order; and force protection, including narcotic, human, landmine, firearm, ammunition and explosive detection.
