USNS Comfort Conducts Flight Operations with HSC 28

190626-N-IA905-1104 MANTA, Ecuador (June 26, 2019) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Peter Lagosh from Milwaukee, Wis., and Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Matt C. Braaten, from Virginia Beach, Va., fly in an MH-60S Seahawk assigned to the “Dragon Whales” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 as it delivers medical supplies to a land-based medical site from the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20). Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
