Cpl. Kade Miller and Sgt. John Thocher, both assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 261 (reinforced), seat a pendulum damper on the left engine of a MV-22B Osprey in the hanger bay aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima is deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and will support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
