Seaman Apprentice Moses Perez, an aviation boatswain's mate, salutes the national ensign as it is lowered signaling that the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) is underway and is headed back to her home port of Bremerton, Wash., Aug. 28. Stennis will return to its homeport of Bremerton after a 7 1/2-month deployment promoting peace, regional cooperation and stability and supporting the Global War on Terror.
