Hull Fulweiler, a descendent of Capt. Isaac Hull, USS Constitution's first fighting commanding officer, presents Cmdr. William A. Bullard III, commanding officer of USS Constitution, with the sword worn by Hull, Aug. 14, in Charlestown, Mass. The sword was unveiled by the USS Constitution Museum and was a personal weapon that Hull kept with him at all times to be used as a last resort in close combat. At 209 years old, USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.
