190703-N-SS350-1014 GULF OF OMAN (July 3, 2019) Aviation Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class William Waltersdorff, from Spring Grove, Penn., assigned to the “Grandmasters” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46, applies lubricant to the tail disconnect jaw of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96). Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operation in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
