BLACK SEA (July 4, 2019) - Fire Controlman (Aegis) 3rd Class Garrett Griffin, from Meeker, Colorado, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), provides cover for his visit, board, search and seizure teammates while searching the Bulgarian Navy’s corvette-class ship BuNS Bodri (14) as part of exercise Sea Breeze 2019, July 4, 2019. Sea Breeze is an annual Ukraine and U.S. co-hosted multinational maritime exercise held in the Black Sea and is designed to enhance interoperability of participating nations to strengthen maritime security and stability within the region.
