William T. Allbritton, an original crewmember of the Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is piped aboard. Albritton, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was part of the Wisconsin’s commissioning crew when she was commissioned in April 1944. He remained aboard her throughout WWII, and was aboard her in Tokyo Bay when Japanese Forces surrendered on September 2, 1945. Albritton served as a Gunners Mate in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946; and was given a warm welcome along with a guided tour of the ship. (US Navy Photo by Max Lonzanida/Released).
