Clint Redding, Pine Bluff Arsenal QASAS, conducts a site visit to a Basic Load Ammunition Area or BLAHA in Syria during his deployment last year. The purpose of the visit, according to Redding, was to provide assistance on matters concerning quality, serviceability, security, accountability and explosive safety. Redding, who will deploy again later this year, said he conducted several inspections during his time in Syria on items returned from the field. He showed the Soldiers working at the BLAHA a few unique safety precautions when dealing with certain types of ammunition and conditions that would classify the items as unserviceable.
