Chad Schwartz, (Sergeant first class retired, 1st Brigade, 34th Infantry Division, Minnesota National Guard) and his son, Carl, of Winthrop, Minn. get an up close look at a convoy of the 334th Brigade Support Battalion out of Johnston, Iowa, Iowa National Guard (IAARNG). The 334th BSB worked with Schwartz, a location manager with United Farmers Co-op, to arrange a refueling station for the IAARNG at the Winthrop UFC grain facility for use en route to Camp Ripley to train with the eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC). XCTC provides an experience similar to a Combat Training Center to Guard Soldiers at home station or at a regional training center, minimizing cost and time away from home and jobs.
