Soldiers from various commands team up into small groups and are charged with completing an obstacle with limited resources during phase one of the U.S. Army's Asymmetric Warfare Group's Asymmetric Warfare Adaptive Leader Program. During the first phase, the Individual Adaptability Phase, soldiers are confronted with various obstacles along the way and with how well they can mitigate them alongside others they normally do not work with. The ambiguity and difficulty of this event increases as soldiers learn to navigate through the scenarios. The 10-day AWALP is held quarterly at Fort A.P Hill, Va. (U.S. Army photo by Master Sgt.
