ANNAPOLIS, Md. (July 26, 2019) Sideboys render honors as Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John M. Richardson is piped aboard during a change of command ceremony in which Vice Adm. Walter E. "Ted" Carter Jr., the 62nd Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy, was properly relieved by Vice Adm. Sean S. Buck, the 63rd Supeintendent. As the undergraduate college of our country's naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
