First Lt. Korey Shinagawa, Medical Dental Group, Detachment 1 (CERF-P), 142nd Fighter Wing, Oregon Air National Guard, instructs Soldiers from the Oregon Army National Guard, Vietnamese and Indonesian armies, as well as a member of the Bangladesh Fire Services and Civil Defense (FSCD) how to effectively lift concrete off of someone who has been trapped during a field training exercise event held at the end of a Basic Rope Rescue Certification Training course that took place July 15-19 at the Kalaeloa Urban Search and Rescue Training Area, Hawaii. Six Army Soldiers and four Airmen from the Oregon National Guard, who are trained urban emergency response experts, assisted in the training of Soldiers from Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as participants from the Bangladesh Air Force and FSCD. The Hawaii National Guard hosted the multi-national training event, dubbed "Combined Task Force 501."
