U.S. Marines assigned with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA)-167 load a GAU-21 during a Deployment For Training (DFT) at MacDill Air Force Base on August 14, 2019. The purposes of HMLA-167’s DTF training is to conduct expeditionary operations training in a medium to high threat environment while increasing readiness rating and building precision guided munition employment proficiency in the AH-1Z Viper.
