    Marines from 7th Engineer Support Battalion along with engineers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory construct a concrete bunker during a 3D concrete printing exercise Aug. 15, in Champaign, Illinois. Working with Marine Corps Systems Command’s Advanced Manufacturing Operations Cell and the Army Corps of Engineers, 7th ESB Marines from the 1st Marine Logistics Group used the Automated Construction of Expeditionary Structures—or ACES—printer to conduct 3D concrete printing of the structure using the largest-ever print nozzle to evaluate emerging technology for future application in Marine Corps engineering operations.
