Brent Cloud, medical simulations training instructor, prepares to demonstrate the proper way to apply a tourniquet to an injured patient. Cloud teaches the class about accessing injured patients and working on the most injured patients first. Cloud taught a four-hour class on tactical combat casualty care tactics, techniques, and procedures to about 75 members of the Tongan Marines and 20 Arkansas Army National Guard personnel at the Senior Training facility, Camp Bhuering, Sept. 11, 2007. Members of the Tongan Marines and Army National Guard personnel attended the medical training prior to moving onto Iraq to begin their tours of duty. Tactical Combat Casualty Care is the validation course for the combat medic and combat lifesaver courses. Cloud has taught more than 22,000 U.S. forces and coalition members since May 2006.
