Seaman Cory Hauptman, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, places a new plank on a picnic table in a Lakeshore Drive park April 17 as part of a volunteer effort for Hike for KaTREEna. Hike for KaTREEna is a non-profit organization whose mission is to replace the trees lost during Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. The volunteer event corresponded with NOLA Navy Week April 16-20, in which New Orleans served as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
