Army Maj. Jeffrey Harrington, detailed inspector general, and Army Master Sgt. Jason Fries, assistant inspector general, both with the National Guard Bureau's Inspectors General office, recite the Inspector General oath administered by Mr. Tony West, National Guard Bureau Inspector General, at a ceremony in Arlington, Va., August 28, 2019. The NGB-IG office provides support to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, Army and Air National Guard directors, state adjutants general, unit commanders, Soldiers, Airmen, and families in the 50 states, 3 territories and the District of Columbia. Additionally, IG personnel serve as force enablers to the National Guard by providing independent, relevant and timely assessments on integrity, readiness and efficiency matters.
