U.S. Marines bring their AN/PVS-14 Night Vision Monoculars to the Night Vision Device course to learn about how to troubleshoot them and the science behind how they work at the Marine Aviation Training Systems Site on Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 17, 2019. The course, normally taught to Marine aviators, is part of an initiative to create a standardized curriculum for night vision devices for Marines who are part of the ground combat element of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Marines with 1st Marine Division are the first to receive the curriculum so far. (U.S. Marine Corps photos by Sgt. Emmanuel Necoechea)
